MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. – June 25, 2014—Association Headquarters, Inc. (AH) is stepping up its commitment to technology and investing in it as the core for creating positive client partner and employee experiences. In the past six months, AH has created a new internal project management ticketing system to streamline technology requests, invested in iPads for client partners to use during events and meetings and upgraded to the latest Microsoft productivity software while committing to cloud-based solutions.
“AH knows the importance of innovation and technology, and we are constantly striving to offer our client partners and employees the best services available,” said Association Headquarters President and CEO, Bob Waller, Jr., CAE. “Our Senior Director of Information Technology is focusing on the right technology solutions for both our client partners and our company.”
George Rears, MBA, PMP was hired as the Senior Director of Information Technology (IT) in October 2013 to oversee AH’s Technology Solutions department, which is comprised of teams that focus on Association Management Solutions, website design and development, and internal AH Information Technology (IT) initiatives. Rears has over 20 years of experience in IT and has obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. George is a long time member of the Society for Information Management (SIM), a client partner of AH, and is a graduate of their Regional Leadership Forum (RLF) program.
Client partners are taking advantage of the upgraded website options while working with AH’s Technology Solutions team to develop custom sites based on their mission and vision. The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA), AH’s longest standing association, recently launched its Baby Safety Zone (BSZ) website. The consumer-facing outlet allows parents and caregivers to create their own registry by adding JPMA Certified Products to their list without ever leaving the site.
Most recently, AH’s Technology Solutions web design team was presented with a Hermes Honorable Mention Creative Award in the category of Website Overall for an Association for its recent responsive web design of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International’s (OARSI) website, also a client partner of AH.
Internally, the company developed a ticketing system to assist employees with their IT issues. The system allows the user to track their issue and its progress and even rate the overall service. Employees and visitors of AH can utilize the AV equipped conference rooms and dramatically faster Internet speed throughout the building.
As part of its ongoing mission of intelligent use of technology, AH developed the Technology Solutions brochure, highlighting web services, department statistics, client examples and achievement awards.
