Public Relations Department Wins Top Prize at 2011 PRSA Pepperpot Awards
Mount Laurel, N.J. – December 7, 2011 — AH's public relations department received honors at the 43rd Annual Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Pepperpot & Achievement Awards.
Judges received more than 100 entries in 31 categories and evaluated entries based on program objectives, execution/tactics, and evaluation/results. Each entry included a two-page summary and binder with extensive background material highlighting the creativity and innovation of the campaign.
The PRSA Philadelphia Chapter presented the public relations department with three awards: A first place Pepperpot in the Development or Fundaising category for its work with the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOCN) Society’s Cycling for Scholarships campaign; a first place Pepperpot in the category of Public Service for its work with the Juvenile Products Manufacturer’s Association (JPMA) Safe Sleep campaign; and a runner-up Ladle in the category of Blogging for the WOCN Cycling for Scholarships blog.
The Pepperpots, named for George Washington’s famous Pepperpot soup, recognize the best in class public relations campaigns and tactics from the Philadelphia region. Approximately 250 PR executives from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware gathered on Dec. 6 to mingle and pay homage to the award-winning campaigns.
“We are very proud of our public relations staff and are thrilled that they have been recognized for their hard work,” said Bob Waller, CAE, President and CEO of AH. “Their dedication and creativity are two important ingredients in our recipe for client success.”
