AH leaders provide insight on association growth strategies and risk management

August 13, 2021

After a year of playing it safe, navigating disruptions to everything from event revenues and membership dues to education delivery and technology changes, associations are ready to move on to better days. Gene Terry, IOM, CAE, director of AH’s allied health, medical, and scientific segment, and Kelly Mariotti, JD, CPA, CAE, vice president of client services at AH, both shared their unique leadership perspectives and key successes seen by AH’s Client Partners as they take advantage of new opportunities to drive revenue and implement efficiencies discovered during the pandemic in a special edition of Associations Now.

In “Growth Gainers,” Terry outlined how AH Client Partners developed novel digital programming opportunities to increase education access, while in “Cost Cutters,” Mariotti breaks down event expense models and challenges associations to rethink how they operate when it comes to events and their risk exposure.

The discussion presented in both articles encourages association leaders to look ahead at what’s next for their association and how they can do better, provide more, and elevate the member experience.
