Using video to promote your brand is necessary with everyone turning to some kind of digital media nowadays, but before you jump on the band wagon and start making movie magic, here are some things to consider when creating a video to represent your brand.

1. Determine what your core values are and how you can visually demonstrate them. This will help you create a theme for your video.

2. Identify how you want to be seen as a company — Are you funny or serious? This will help you figure out the overall tone of your video.

3. Select what images or graphics represent you and determine how you can animate/make them exciting — Will you use animation or real people? This will help with the concept and direction of your video.

A Few Good Examples of Video Branding

Apple Commercial

Apple does a great job showing how its products can bring family together in this video. It makes us feel sad because we see that the young boy is on his phone during all the family time and in the end we leave happy because he was really making a movie to share with them Christmas day.

Clorox Commercial

This is a short, clever commercial that’s very relatable to a lot people in general, but specifically moms. It makes us chuckle because we’ve all experienced something similar. The video is straightforward with some humor. We recognize the video is for bleach and Clorox is the brand we associate with bleach.

NAFA — Campaign Promotion (An AH Production)

This video uses contrasting imagery to promote its brand. It goes from polluted air to clean air to show what the world would be like with less pollutants. The imagery accurately represents the company and campaign demonstrating its efforts toward clean air.

Create Your Own

Think about what best represents your organization. How can your audience relate? People want to feel some kind of emotion when they watch something. The best videos incorporate company values with emotion and relatable elements to hook and engage the audience. You want to leave a mark with your audience. Make them remember you by how they felt when they watched your video and they’ll remember your brand.
