I was reading an article on the MarketingProfs website about how important video and digital media is for marketing today. They had some really compelling stats to back up their theory.
- 181.4 million U.S. Internet users watched more than 39.4 billion content videos on Google sites.
- In any given month, 60 percent of the country watches an online video.
- Having video on a website’s landing page makes it 53 percent more likely to show up on the first page of Google searches.
- The average user spends 88 percent more time on a website with video than a website without one.
- Email opt-outs can be reduced by as much as 75 percent.
I thought these stats were pretty impressive. Then I took a step back and looked at my own browsing habits. It’s true! Anytime there is a video on a webpage, I am more inclined to stay and watch it, rather than scrolling and reading. Even when I was reading the article mentioned above, I watched all three example videos before reading the actual text.
Just over the last year and a half, AH has established a digital media department for client partner video and image needs. We have put together a pretty extensive collection of videos ranging from event promos to bylaw changes to rebrands and more. Take a look at some of our work here.
