Staff donated time and services to 14 area organizations
MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – June 24, 2019 – Association Headquarters, a leading association management company located in Mount Laurel, N.J. and Alexandria, V.A., continues to focus on community service and social responsibility as a core value. From raising money and donating blood to holding a company-wide day of service, AH employees are dedicated to supporting their local communities and nonprofits.
In 2018, as part of the company’s 40th anniversary celebration, AH instituted an annual day of service. The day of service staff sets out to donate their time to more than a dozen nonprofits doing anything from cleaning, to cooking, to organizing, to entertaining. 2019 marked the second annual day of service, partnering with 14 organizations in the community. Staff from the Alexandria office also participated, as well as remote employees in Ohio.
“Social responsibility is one of our core values and we encourage our employees to pay it forward, both in and out of the office,” said AH President and CEO, Bob Waller, Jr., CAE. “We surveyed the staff to determine which organizations they would like to partner with and that’s how we came up with our list.” A task force handled logistics and set up the volunteer times and duties as needed. All of the organizations were thrilled to have us on June 14th.
AH staff dedicate almost 2000 hours annually to local nonprofits. AH defines corporate social responsibility as the continuing commitment to contribute positively to the communities that support it. This extends to the workforce, their families, the local community, and society at large. AH staff accomplish this by adhering to its core values to always act ethically, with integrity and with unlimited resolve in everything that they do. AH Leadership offers paid time to volunteer during business hours, in the hopes of encouraging all staff to take the time to give back.
