The Society for Technical Communication (STC) and The Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) have selected Association Headquarters (AH) as their new management partner.
STC will partner with several of AH’s service departments including industry relations, marketing, financial services, technology solutions, human resources, and credentialing management.
STC is the world’s largest and oldest professional association dedicated to the advancement of the field of technical communication. The Society’s members span the field of the technical communication profession from students and academics to practitioners and managers.
“As a hybrid partner, AH’s goal is to work alongside the STC staff to make sure goals are met and we provide outstanding member support,” said Bob Waller Jr., AH’s President and CEO.
AH is partnering with the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) to assist with establishing a local chapter program. This involves leading the OMA board through conversations and exercises to determine program details, developing guidelines, creating template documents and training resources, and providing start-up consulting services to the staff and chapter leaders.
“AH has taken many roles in chapter development and management for numerous client partners and has expertise in development and implementation of new programs. I’m confident this partnership is a perfect match and we will strive to create the program that fits best for OMA through experience-based knowledge,” said Waller.
OMA members are physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers who take a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to treating obesity. This approach is comprised of nutrition, physical activity, behavior, and medication.
