Two of AH’s client partners receive Power of A Silver Award from ASAE

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – August 29, 2017 – Two of AH’s client partners, The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) and the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) have earned a 2017 ASAE Power of A Silver Award for the creation of unique programs that further assist the organizations’ missions.

CCMC submitted their program “Focus on Workforce: Preparation, Development and Readiness.” CCMC recognized the demand for qualified professional health care case managers and created the program to fulfill that need. “The need to prepare more case managers motivated us to focus intently on workforce development and to launch the Workforce Development Toolkit. We have strengthened our Workforce Development Toolkit with the addition of our Certification 360 workshops that are available to candidates to help them prepare for the CCM Exam,” said CCMC’s CEO MaryBeth Kurland.

Efforts to strengthen and sustain the case management workforce have yielded measurable results: The number of board-certified case managers (CCMs) grew to over 42,000 since the beginning of 2010 (27,000 CCMs).

JPMA submitted the “2016 Baby Safety Month” program, its largest consumer-facing education and awareness campaign. JPMA initiated Baby Safety Month in 1983 in an effort to educate parents and caregivers on important safety issues affecting our nation’s children.

JPMA focused the month-long campaign on creating digital toolkits for manufacturers and retailers while developing promotional partnerships with like-minded organizations and the media to generate awareness on the importance of product registration and recall response. “Baby Safety Month 2016 was especially successful because JPMA was able to develop a meaningful theme and partner with association members, industry, media, and key organizations to generate broad awareness on an important topic to today’s parents,” said JPMA Program Manager, Amy Chezem.

“We are extremely proud of both CCMC and JPMA for the efforts put forth to not only create programs that strengthen the mission of the organizations but also assist in the progression of their impact on our community,” said Bob Waller, CAE President and CEO of AH.

“Congratulations to CCMC and JPMA and its partners for their efforts to enrich and strengthen lives,” said Sharon J. Swan, FASAE, CAE, Chief Executive Officer of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and chair of the Power of A Awards Judging Committee. “Their initiative exemplifies how we work best when we work together and how associations have positive influence on our everyday lives in every way.”

ASAE’s power of A (association) Awards, the industry’s highest honor, recognize the association community’s valuable contributions on the local, national and global levels. The Power of A Awards reward the outstanding accomplishments of associations and industry professionals who work tirelessly to strengthen lives, the workforce, our systems and structures, the economy and the world.
