MT. LAUREL, N.J. – March 13, 2014 — The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) was recently invited to speak at the CESB's 2014 Annual Meeting Symposium (CESB) on March 12. CCMC will discuss the importance of certification, a valued topic to both CCMC and its association management company, Association Headquarters (AH).

Each year the CESB Board of Directors meets to conduct the organization's business. As part of this meeting, a symposium is held to address topics of current interest. This year, they selected marketing of certification programs and immediately asked Patrice Sminkey, CEO of CCMC and employee of AH, to present on the topic. “Achieving and maintaining credentials is considered one of our many best practices,” said AH CEO Bob Waller, Jr., CAE. “We value the additional industry knowledge and background our employees and clients gain when partaking in certification workshops. Many of the required courses are held in house and are offered at no cost to employees. As the most credentialed AMC worldwide, we see this as a commitment to our client partners in providing staff that are the top in their fields of expertise.”

Founded in 1978, AH has since grown to be home to nearly 200 employees. AH is an association management company (AMC) that provides executive management, trade show management, meeting and convention planning, public relations, and a wide array of additional services to non-profit and trade associations.

In late 2012, the company embarked on a strategic plan to accelerate the company’s growth even further and instituted an internal communications program for the first time. The results led to AH being named one of the best places to work in Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Business Journal and Philly.com, while an engaged staff reported favorably on the program. The tenets the campaign was founded upon have proven strong, and the results have far exceeded the optimism that many had for the plan in its beginning stages.
